When you agree to consign, we take care of everything: shipping, photography, storage, insurance, legal paperwork, and advertising. There are no hidden fees for these many services. We take care of all the work and charge a simple, flat percentage on the sale price of your item. It doesn’t get much easier than that. Our consignment fee is 10% of the pretax selling price.
This means if we sell your gun for $400 plus tax… We get $40, you get $360 and Uncle Sam gets his tax! QCC covers all credit card and transaction fees out of our cut.
Ready to sell your item? Let us evaluate your items! This step takes care of the frequent questions we hear, such as “What is my gun worth?” and “What is this old gun?” The best way to determine that is with a pre-sell evaluation. There is no obligation or cost for us to evaluate your items. We find the fair market value for your items and we have two methods to sell your consignments. A traditional consignment with a buy now price or we can place the item as an auction. This typically is determined by the demand or quality of an item. However, both are available. Please allow us up to a week to get this process completed. Good things take time. Once the firearms have arrived at our facility, our team immediately goes to work. Your items are inventoried, photographed, described in detail, and securely stored. While your item is awaiting its big day it will be marketed heavily!
Once your item has sold, we handle the background check and transfer/shipping of the item at no cost to you. We will contact you that your check is ready for pick up or for further convenience we can mail it. Checks are cut/sent out within 5-7 calendar days after the completion of the sale. Sellers are required to cash checks within 10 business days of receiving payment.
For the record, Queen City Arms & Queen City Shooters are able to buy guns and collections, but we strongly recommend placing them in our consignment process to receive the most possible money for your item.
Whether you have one item or a hundred we will work hard to get you the most out of your items. We have extensive experience handling estates of all sizes. If you do choose to use us to consign your items we can schedule a time to come to your home and catalog your items at no cost. References available upon request.
